Blakeney Sailing Club

Blakeney Sailing Club

Blakeney Sailing Club, on the North Norfolk coast, is based in an enviable location, within an area of outstanding natural beauty. The harbour is tidal and protected by a spit of land which leads to Blakeney Point.
Operating from a small wooden hut at one end of the Blakeney Quay car park, the club provides a varied social and sailing calendar from Easter to late October as the tides allow. Flotilla events are run throughout the season, and the club aims to get as many people as possible out on the water. In addition to ad hoc events there is a Fun Week in August, with organised daily boating activities, plus a good programme of racing .
Blakeney Sailing Club welcomes new members with or without a boat – crewing with an experienced helm is a good way to start sailing, though the club is not a recognised training centre so any tuition is offered on an informal basis..
