Fambridge Yacht Haven

Fambridge Yacht Haven is a picturesque marina nestled on the banks of the River Crouch in North Fambridge, Essex. Originally built in 1973 as West Wick Marina, it was purchased by Yacht Havens Group in 2004, transforming it into one of the East Coast's premier boating destinations.
The marina offers 220 full-tide marina berths and over 120 swinging moorings, providing comprehensive facilities for modern boat owners. Services include boat lifting, indoor and outdoor storage, a slipway, and a Park & Launch service. The facility has undergone significant modernization, with substantial investment in new pontoons, piles, and bridges replacing the original 1970s infrastructure.
Set in peaceful countryside and surrounded by green farmland and saltmarshes, the marina enjoys a unique position near the Blue House Farm nature reserve, a designated Site of Scientific Interest. Despite its tranquil rural setting, North Fambridge remains highly accessible, with hourly trains to London making it popular among commuters.
A charming addition to the marina experience is The Ferry Boat Inn, a Grade II listed pub that has been serving visitors since 1807, though the building itself dates back to the 16th century. When the historic pub faced closure in the early 2010s, Yacht Havens Group purchased it to preserve this beloved village landmark. Following a stunning refurbishment in the late 2010s, the pub now combines centuries-old character with modern comfort, offering marina users and locals alike a atmospheric dining and drinking venue steeped in maritime history.
The marina has embraced sustainability initiatives, including zero waste to landfill policies, advanced interceptor tanks to prevent pollution, and LED lighting installations. These efforts reflect their commitment to protecting the sensitive River Crouch environment while maintaining their position as custodians of this beautiful waterway.
